These visits are intended to provide you with up to date health care, an opportunity for us to learn about you, your journey and your baby.
We follow the traditional obstetrical appointment model, with your appointments scheduled every 4 weeks up until 28 weeks gestation, every 2 weeks from 28 weeks to 36 weeks gestation and every week from 36 weeks until you deliver. Our appointments are 30 minutes in duration. It is in these appointments that we highly encourage you to bring in your questions (we actually love lots of questions), so that you always feel seen and heard, and you never leave without feeling settled.
If you have older children, we would love for them to participate in your care in any way they feel comfortable.
It is our belief that when your children are able to participate in measuring and listening to the baby, they see this event as “the family is having a baby”, rather than “mom is having a baby and now I don’t know what that means for me or where my place is in this family”.
Getting a new sibling can be hard for little ones that do not have the verbal skills to tell you how they feel. We want their time in our office to be positive, and as interactive as they choose to be, so our space is very kid friendly.
